The Golden Triangle Club was formed in 1981 by the owner of a Lydney care home for the learning disabled. He felt that there was a need for his residents to have a fuller social life. This was accomplished in conjunction with the Gloucestershire County Council and Local Youth Groups. As the years went on due to budget cuts, the club lost the funding of the council and had to become self-sufficient.

We are now a social club for the over 18's.  In the last few years we have been able to bring more diversity to the club and have increased our membership to over 150 members. We have been very happy to find the support of other local clubs and businesses that have allowed us a greater range of activities.

Events include: Discos; Games/Bingo; Boat Trips at Symonds Yat; Square Dancing; BBQ'S; Skittles; Movies; Bowling; Pantomines; Games in the Park; Dinner Disco's.

These activities bring so much joy to our members. For some Triangle is the highlight social activity of the week and for others this is the only activity where they get to meet with their friends

If you know someone who may benifit from our club or if you can spare 2 hours on a Tuesday night (this does not have to be every week) extra hands are always needed.
